Dynasty’s 5 – 3/4″ Raptor™ with Reaper Inserts — Still Pushing the Bounds and Breaking Records

Location

Gulf of America

Challenge

An offshore Gulf of America operator required a long window through 7″ casing — demanding a tool
capable of sustained performance over an extended footage interval while managing significant
metal return volumes at surface. Hole cleaning, not tool capability, was the binding constraint
throughout the operation.

Solution

Dynasty deployed the 5 – 3/4″ Raptor™ configured with proprietary Reaper inserts, executing a
cut-out followed by a mill-ahead to complete the full 151 ft window. Real-time data analytics and
parameter optimization drove performance throughout the run — continuously refining WOB, RPM,
and flow rate to push the tool while building a rich dataset to further improve results on future wells.
Every hour on bottom was treated as an opportunity to learn, validate, and raise the bar.

•3.5 ft/hr SUSTAINED MILL-AHEAD ROP
•>35 ft PER INCH OF INSERT WEAR
•151 ft of 7″ casing removed — cut-out followed by a ~148 ft mill-ahead window, fully completed.

Sustained 3.5 ft/hr mill-ahead ROP with real-time parameter optimization continuously applied
— data collected on every stand, feeding improvement on the wells ahead.
Over 35 ft milled per inch of Reaper insert wear — outstanding durability across a long
offshore window. Significant rig time saved for the operator versus a multi-run approach.
